New rules to promote increased gender equality among listed Companies' Boards

The Board published 30 May 2014 a number of initiatives to promote increased gender equality among listed companies' Board of Directors, including a number of changes to the Code. It was stated that these changes were to be implemented simultaneously with other changes to the Code that the Board had been working on, however, not later than on 1 January 2015.

As the revision of the current Code has not been finished, the Board issues these rules through Instruction 1-2014 in order for the gender equality rules to come into force at the year end. Proposals for Code changes resulting from the general revision of the Code are likely to be presented in the spring 2015.
